Connect What fuels your passion for health and fitness?

Reclaiming my health was a necessity for me before it was a passion, but that experience opened me up to a completely new way of living. I thought that I was fated to be a sluggish and neurotic person -- I presumed that my personality and mental state were inherent character traits rather than consequences of my metabolic health. I found that eating nutrient dense, whole-foods and strength training changed not just my body but my whole outlook on life and ease of living.

What’s your favorite way to train or stay fit?

I love Hyrox because of the community and inclusivity, as well as the combination of challenging intensities and endurance efforts. I love the VersaClimber and spin bikes/air bikes because the ability to get DANCE-Y cardio in with low impact (yay happy joints!) I will always love lifting weights the most because of how profoundly it changed my body, my metabolism, and my confidence. Lifting makes me feel strong and capable in a way that is so gratifying when out and about living life.

What would you do with $20,000?

I want to help people. I want to offer more educational courses and spaces for people to learn how to live better. Often I am held back by finances and lack of support services that are essentially just the book-keeping components of my wellness business. Winning would allow me to invest more into these details so I can focus on the actual work with a larger pool of people. I would be able to offer more courses, groups, and spaces for education, collaboration, and support. More people healing!
