My children. My desire to live a long, healthy, and able life, so that I can be here for my children, prepare them for adulthood, see their lives take form, and continue to create memories. Having lived through many tragedies, losses, and then starting over in life in my early 40s, I am hoping to teach my children through example that we are strong enough to do anything. That fitness is imperative for mental health, physical strength, and along with good nutrition can prevent/reverse illnesses.
What’s your favorite way to train or stay fit?Lifting, running, stretching, and meditating. Also just as important to me is the space I have created for me. I am up at 4am before my children and work need me. This allows me time to myself to exercise, alone, before the overwhelm and overstimulation begins. This allows me to be consistent and guarantees I will get my workouts in, without interruption. It allows my habits to be habits, stay on track, and get my mind right and ready for all the day has in store for me.
What would you do with $20,000?Invest in my children's future. I do it all for them because they are my everything. They are the ones who have kept me going every single day. I never give up and I hope and pray they learn to do the same.
