My children fuel my passion for health and fitness. I had both of my kids at an older age, 38 and 40 years old. I am determined to stay fit and healthy so I can watch them grow to their full potential. I can not imagine in the years to come, that any of my kids' friends ask them if I am their Grandmother instead of their Mom! With that in mind, each day, I do all that I can to stay young and energetic. A healthy diet, cardio and strength training are all key components.

I enjoy running and lifting weights. My daughter is a competitive gymnast. She loves to give me all kinds of exercises that she is doing at gymnastics. I enjoy the challenge of very ungracefully attempting these exercises. I have competed in many half marathons and I was an IFBB Fitness Pro back in 2002 - 2007. I also enjoy obstacle course training and riding dirt bikes with my son.

If I were to win $20,000 I would use the money to work with adolescents and teenagers. I am a Personal Trainer and I have a BS in Sports Medicine and Education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I would speak with Principals and Superintendents of local Middle and High Schools to devise programs of Functional Fitness. A program that would concentrate on body weight movements, free weights and endurance exercises that focus on form and fun.
