True fitness is inclusive. By training in a respirator mask, I hope to demonstrate that access, health & dignity belong to everyone.

Receive Text UpdatesHeath & fitness fuel me because they make life more accessible. Life is hard; but training builds strength, resiliency, & improved independence which effects how we move through the world. I train through barriers- including my own disabilities & wearing a respirator mask indoors-to show that fitness is not about genetics, birthplace, wealth, or perfection. Fitness is about improving our quality of life & dignity for all!
What’s your favorite way to train or stay fit?My training always involves strength & skill, with weightlifting being a consistent building block. I have a condition called Ehler-Danlos Syndrome which means my joints are highly limber & unstable. I've seen huge improvements in this area via heavy lifting, so I always keep it in my rotation. Every few years I like to pick up a new sport to learn new skills & challenge myself. In, 2023, I began figure skating at 36 years old, & in 2024, I began endurance cycling!
What would you do with $20,000?I would use the $20,000 to create more inclusive fitness opportunities-supporting adaptive equipment, specialized spaces, & training opportunities for people with disabilities or more support needs. I would pursue my strength & conditioning certification to better serve athletes with unique needs, and I would put some of the money toward becoming the first competitive powerlifter who wears a respirator mask during training & competition. I want people to see that fitness is for everyone!
