Receive Text UpdatesI love playing sports and there aren't many I haven't tried. Injury prevention is key; having supple muscles that behave the way they were designed to helps me avoid joint pain, and superior strength helps me avoid accidents. I've always worked out 5-6 days a week. Massage and cupping have increased in my 50's. I do what I need to do (ie: zero alcohol) so I can do what I want to do physically. I'd like to downhill ski and compete in triathlons until I'm on my deathbed.
What’s your favorite way to train or stay fit?Warmer months: I run 3-4 miles 1x/week; swim a mile 1x/week; do 30 mile bike ride 1x/week; lift medium heavy 2x/week; do yoga 1x/week. I hike or mtn. bike whenever possible. Colder months: lift heavy (ie: leg press @ 335 lbs, chest press @ 100 lbs) 1x/week; lift medium heavy (ie: 10 pull-ups) and do treadmill sprints 3x/week; do yoga 1x/week; downhill ski 2-6x/month. I walk 10k/every day of the year; do triathlons (5 so far); do 5k's a couple times a year, and play softball occasionally.
What would you do with $20,000?My son is going to college next year and we need all the help we can get to pay for it! Maybe I'll buy him a ski pass so he can practice enough to keep up with me! (ha ha--he's an amazing skier).
