Receive Text UpdatesI enjoy feeling good and having the energy and ability to do anything physical that I choose to do. People often say to me that they don't know how I have the energy to do what I do in a day. It is very simple, I choose to exercise. My fitness goal is an odd one, when I am 80 I want to be able to step into the bed of a pickup truck as easily as I could when I was 12.
What’s your favorite way to train or stay fit?I enjoy walking. I walk at least two miles, but often 8 miles every day. Walking early in the morning when the birds are just waking up and the sun has not yet risen, is a wonderful way to energize yourself for the day. Walking at dusk can be equally as peaceful, the moon is low in the sky. The animals are out eating. It is a great way to close out your day. Lifting is another thing that I do to train at least five times a week. I want to be able to rock climb with my grandchildren.
What would you do with $20,000?If I had $20,000 to do with as I choose, I would by a small camper so that I could comfortably go anywhere in the U.S.A. and hike, camp, kayak, or bike in the many state and national parks. I would also hike in Iceland or Denali. They are both on my bucket list for hiking.
