Fitness goes beyond building a strong body. It is how courage is built. Every workout is a rehearsal for life. I have learned how to show up when it’s uncomfortable. How to stay focused when quitting would be easier. I stop asking myself “Can you handle this?” And start saying “You got this”. That strength doesn’t stay in the gym. It shows up when life throws obstacles in your path. When challenges test your confidence. When setbacks try to convince you to shrink.
What’s your favorite way to train or stay fit?Running, strength training, kickboxing, spinning, elliptical, yoga and endurance events. I completed my first marathon in 2001, first triathlon in 2011 and continue to do multiple endurance events every year. I’ve caught the bug and can’t stop! What would you do with $20,000?On December 31 2024, I retired from a distinguished 40 year IT federal career, with 18 of the years at the executive level. In 2025, to fulfill my calling of helping people become stronger, healthier, and more confident from the inside out, I became certified as a personal trainer and nutrition coach. I am now working towards my life coach certification. To broaden even further, I would use the $20,000 to help start my own personal wellness business.
