Receive Text UpdatesDuring one of the lowest points of my life, running became my salvation. It gave me purpose, discipline, and hope when I felt completely lost. Fitness served as my therapy and brought me back to life. This lifestyle pushes me beyond my limits, mentally and physically. I believe the mind is the foundation of all achievements, and belief turns goals into reality. Feeling the pain reminds me I’m alive, capable, and still moving forward. Crossing a finish line after months of work proves that power.
What’s your favorite way to train or stay fit?My favorite way to train is in a community environment surrounded by people who share the same passion for fitness. I stay fit by combining cardio and strength training. I’m part of a running club, which I truly enjoy because it pushes me to challenge myself alongside strong runners. I also train at a HYROX gym, which has helped me become stronger in many areas. Throughout the year, I signed up for marathons and HYROX competitions, which keeps me motivated and consistent with my training.
What would you do with $20,000?If I won the $20,000, I would use the money to pay off most of my school debt. I earned my master’s degree in Structural Engineering from Texas A&M University and had to take out personal loans after learning that FAFSA assistance was not available for graduate school. My two siblings and I were simultaneously enrolled, and even with scholarships, it was impossible to cover all the expenses. I worked part time, but that income only covered some bills, leaving me to rely on loans.
