I took an oath to protect and serve my community. If I cannot take care of myself how can I take care of others. I find my peace and sanity in being physically active. Being physically fit gives me the confidence and courage to put myself in the position to protect others. It can be a challenge in itself to be a female in Law Enforcement, carrying yourself with confidence and dignity is essential. This is true not only to gain the respect of your peers, but also those you serve.

Weight training not only strengthens my body but also my mind. I truly enjoy challenging myself with weight training and pushing my limits, but training your body physically is only a portion of staying fit. I have found that a diet of "real food" consisting of God given ingredients keeps my mind and body fit for anything.

If I am blessed with $20,000 I would use it to continue my pursuit of living a healthy lifestyle by investing it in my homesteading dream. I want to build a greenhouse with my own two hands to prepare for each season so my family and I can share in the harvest of the hard work. This will not only continue my pursuit of good health but I can also find peace in knowing that my family has healthy and nutritious options grown on our own land. Nurturing your own garden is so fulfilling.
