The experience of losing it unexpectedly, and being given a second chance. When my health failed, I lost my independence— ability to drive, walk, ADL’s —and that loss strained my career and closest relationships. Being given a second chance changed everything. Today, health means freedom: the strength to live fully, pursue my passion as a musician, and build physical independence so I can rely less on others, protect my relationships, and move forward with confidence, purpose, and gratitude.
What’s your favorite way to train or stay fit?Since I have a connective tissue disease that affects my joints, I have to be very mindful with training! I can’t run, so I walk outside EVERYWHERE ( people think I’m nuts when I consider 35 min to be “walking distance”), I also walk on the treadmill at different inclines, elliptical, weight training, resistance bands, neurological re -training through music and dance (I’m a drummer and singer), swimming when I have access to a pool, yoga and pilates!
What would you do with $20,000?Put it towards all my medical expenses that are not covered by insurance (which is majority of them) … if any is left over, maybe a wireless microphone and cymbals for my musical performances! 🥰
