Receive Text UpdatesAt 17, I was in an accident that left me with a shattered L5 vertebra, fractured and dislocated L3/L4 vertebrae, spinal fusion, & permanent nerve damage in my leg. The recovery process was filled with uncertainty, including the possibility of not walking. Once I was physically cleared, I began going to the track with my dad. What started as physical rehab quickly became more mental and emotional healing. Fitness gave me an outlet to process fear, overcome doubt, and regain a sense of control.
What’s your favorite way to train or stay fit?My favorite way to train is CrossFit! It has taught me to respect my limitations while still celebrating what my body is capable of. It constantly reveals what I can do rather than what I can’t, which is incredibly empowering. Beyond the physical challenge, the community is what truly sets it apart—being surrounded by supportive, driven people creates an environment where encouragement, accountability, and shared victories make every accomplishment feel even more meaningful.
What would you do with $20,000?I would use the money to invest in my gym. We opened in August of 2025 & it's not yet self-sustaining, but I believe in it so much. The money would allow us to stay open while we build clientele. The gym has been a place of peace and transformation for me. Going off of my answer above, I want to be able to provide that sense of empowerment, community, and environment for everyone! As a mental health therapist, I know fitness is so much more than then physical component.
