Receive Text UpdatesMy role as professor fuels me when I get to see my students grasp concepts and ideas and figure out ways to apply them in their personal lives or with different friends or family members and then of course their professional lives as exercise science graduates. In my role as a personal trainer, what fuels my passion is getting to see daily, the progress that my clients continue to make, and how impactful that is in their everyday lives; one client can pick up her grandkids now. Life-changing.
What’s your favorite way to train or stay fit?I participated in a lot of different training methods over the years, I really enjoy sprinting, and traditional strength and conditioning free weight movements. However, currently I am training for a bodybuilding competition, so I’ve been doing a traditional bodybuilding split since last March and I am absolutely loving it! Whatever ever the test or training method is that I’m teaching in class, you better believe I’m hopping in with my students regardless!
What would you do with $20,000?Bodybuilding is pretty expensive, so I definitely will be putting some of that money to use there. My brother‘s family recently moved to Europe, so I will be making sure I get to visit my nieces and nephews during the time they’re stationed there. I also create scholarships for students every year to attend the Nsca state clinic, which I’m the director of for Missouri, so this will allow me to increase this number of students that I can cover. Specifically female scholarships.
