Since becoming a vegetarian and taking my health more seriously, I’ve lost weight and increased bone strength resulting in a considerable decrease in the pain in my knees and back. I rarely take medication. Knowing this is also what fuels me- I appreciate what my body can do.
What’s your favorite way to train or stay fit?My favorite way to train is resistance training at the gym. I use cables, machines, and free weights. When I’m exercising, my focus is really targeted on the present and I’m in my happy place. I also love making conscious decisions on what foods to eat to properly nourish and fuel my body. It’s a little high I get.
What would you do with $20,000?I would donate to some local, state, and national nonprofits that serve veterans-especially those that help or honor women veterans. I’d love to help fund a nonprofit that helps with emergency funds in my community. For the rest, I’d take advantage of the opportunity to travel.
