My passion for health and fitness was forged in grief. After losing my husband in a small plane crash, with a one and two year old at home, movement became my lifeline. Training gave me somewhere to put my pain and the strength to choose life. In 2022, after losing four close family members and friends, I relearned that lesson. Fitness saved me again and became my mission to help others rebuild.
What’s your favorite way to train or stay fit?My favorite way to train is lifting heavy weights. It’s empowering and reminds me what my body can do. I also walk my 12 year old lab daily and train at my local community gym with people who challenge me. I also run a travel adventure company where we help people come back to life through movement. I’ve hiked the Tour du Mont Blanc twice, the W Trek in Patagonia, and many other strenuous adventures.
What would you do with $20,000?I would reinvest it in continued education. As a somatically educated trainer, I know real healing requires more than workouts. I’m committed to deepening my understanding of the nervous system, trauma, and longevity so I can serve people rebuilding their lives through grief. The more I learn, the more impact I can make helping others reclaim strength, safety, and purpose in their bodies.
