Receive Text UpdatesI am a multi sport collegiate athlete. Health and fitness are not just important to me, I cannot live without them! I do my best to find affordable ways to stay healthy while in college. Things like my sleep schedule, diet, mental health, and physical activity are things I have worked hard to make into a healthy routine so my body and mind know what to expect from me. Being an athlete fuels my passion for health and fitness because without maintaining them, I would not be as successful.
What’s your favorite way to train or stay fit? Some of my favorite ways to train include sprinting and lifting. I am a rugby player as well as a collegiate sprinter and pole vaulter. I have put in a lot of extra outside work to gain more explosive strength as well as more muscle mass. Something I feel is overlooked is mental training. I love to journal about my goals and practices. It helps me get a clearer understanding and focus for the coming practices or meets. Mental training is just as important, if not more so, as physical training.
What would you do with $20,000?I would use $20,000 to assist in paying off my student debt and paying off college. As a division 3 athlete, we do not get athletic scholarships. While being so busy with practices and homework, it can be difficult to find time for working enough hours. This would immensely help in reducing my financial stress. It would help me be able to focus more on my craft and school. I have broken 3 pole vault school records since being here, and this would give me more opportunities to break even more.
