A passion for health and fitness was born in recovery. After a March 2025 car accident left me with 107 fractures and months in a wheelchair, I learned that movement, nutrition, and mindset are life-saving. Every workout and healthy choice is a gift. Fitness isn't about perfection, it's about honoring what my body has overcome. I want to live not just for myself but for my beautiful family, my friends and those who are in my circle cheering me on to get out of that wheelchair and live life.
What’s your favorite way to train or stay fit?After my March 12, 2025 accident, I was 53 and IMMOBILE for 3 1/2 months. Severe muscle atrophy, WEIGHT GAIN (25 lbs.), and the TOXIC effects of surgeries and pain meds pushed me to take control of my health. Through nutrition and intentional movement, PT, long walks with my husband or dog, Koko, I began healing my body from the inside out. I'm grateful for the inspiration, motivation, tips, love and support from my friends and coaches at the Looking Good - Feeling Good Facebook Community.
What would you do with $20,000?I'd invest in my continued recovery, physical therapy, nutrition and strength building while sharing my journey to inspire others facing major injuries. I want to use this prize to show that resilience, health, and hope are possible, turning my experience into support and encouragement for others to turn their SCARS INTO STARS and inspire others.
