Connect What fuels your passion for health and fitness?

Health is wealth. As someone who works in the medical field I believe it’s so important to be active and stay moving throughout our entire lives. My true passion for fitness started when I realized what a superpower it is to be strong -especially as a female. Many women struggle with body image. The emergence of “Skinnytok” has made this even worse for some girls. Training to be strong made me appreciate my body regardless of how it looked. Putting in the work puts my mind at peace.

What’s your favorite way to train or stay fit?

After having played volleyball in high school and walking on to a division 1 volleyball team in college (University of New Hampshire), becoming an elite powerlifter and now focusing on bodybuilding-style training, I’ve always loved the challenge of being an athlete. As someone who works nightshift it can be hard to balance work, sleep and training. But, what works for me is having a coach who guides me through a program to achieve my goals. I still do sprints and lift heavy, but with intention.

What would you do with $20,000?

My husband is a police officer and he and I both have been working overtime the past few years to save up for clearing our land and eventually build our “forever home”. This year we are hoping to get a garage built so we can restore our home gym AND so I can finally park my motorcycle safely indoors (and not on gravel where I almost drop it nearly every day 🤣).
