Receive Text UpdatesI started bodybuilding before med school, to model the healthy lifestyle I'd ask of patients. 35 years later, fitness remains my lifeline: clears my head, keeps me healthy, and fuels my work. After twin pregnancy depleted me and launching my practice, prioritizing fitness transformed everything. I became stronger and more productive. Now I show chronically ill patients that movement can be their path back to wellness. Fitness is hope and proof we can thrive in the only body we'll ever have.
What’s your favorite way to train or stay fit?I structure my week around three strength training days:push, pull, legs.Building muscle is essential for longevity. I move daily through walking or stairs but avoid overtraining which sabotages muscle growth and recovery. Beyond the gym, I'm intentional about nutrition and recovery: animal protein, targeted supplements, Red Light Therapy, and NanoVi for cellular health. Sleep is non-negotiable. Fitness isn't just about the workout; it's creating a sustainable system for resilience and wellness.
What would you do with $20,000?I've devoted my career to researching, educating, and caring for those with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome,a condition often unrecognized in conventional medicine. As Treasurer of the International Society for Mast Cell Activation Syndromes (ISMCAS.org), a newly created non-profit, I'm committed to advancing understanding of this disorder. I would donate the entire $20,000 to ISMCAS to further our research, education, and advocacy efforts for patients who desperately need recognition and support.
