I believe that every person deserves to live a life full of abundance, opportunity, and joy. Not everyone is dealt a good hand, but it is our responsibility to learn how to nurture our own minds and bodies. You only get one body in this lifetime, so treating it with respect and love is an ongoing practice. It’s been a journey to get to this point of practicing daily self-love, but the more I do so, the more I am able to help others take steps towards living their healthiest and happiest lives.

What’s your favorite way to train or stay fit?

Strength training is my medicine! It has not only helped me change my body composition, but get through some of the most difficult times in my life. Every time I lift heavy sh*t, I am reminded of how truly capable I am outside of the gym and that I can channel that strength into other areas of my life. My mission is to teach more people, especially women, how empowered they will feel through intentional movement!

What would you do with $20,000?

As a small business owner, I would invest in my continuing education fund so that I can attend training seminars and expand my knowledge. I could even start my dream athletic wear line to help women feel more confident in their bodies! This generous award would also enable me to start investing in my future so that I have options to blossom - I can focus more on growing my business and giving back and less on worrying about paying bills, affording medical care, and paying off student loans.
